Knights of Columbus
Mr. William Benoit, a parishioner of the Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Mr. Norbert Tapp, District Deputy and Mr. Robert Cowhey, District Warden, (both from Deep River) were instrumental in the formation of our Council. Members are from both the town and Base Petawawa.
Where and when possible, the Knights participate in activities that promote spiritual growth, offer financial and practical support and assist in community events.
Some of the projects include – maintaining the roadside park on Highway 17, funding a swimming program for special needs students of Our Lady of Sorrows School, helping finance and build a prayer station at the Emerald Necklace Trail and assisting the staff of Columbus House with monthly bingos.
